Specificity and Comments:
This antibody reacts with a human intermediate filament protein of 50 kD, known as CK14. It is used to distinguish stratified epithelial cells for simple epithelial cells. In neoplastic cells, CK14 is useful marker in the differential diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma.
